Wellbeing
Mental health is widespread and can affect people from all walks of life.
Conditions vary in nature and severity, but all can have a significant impact on the lives of people who experience them. There is also a significant impact on society and the economy, with mental health problems being linked to homelessness, unemployment, poor physical health, and risky behaviour in young people.
People can recover from mental illness if they receive timely and appropriate treatment and support, but many people struggle to access mental health services when they need them.

November 2023 Update to Parents
PULSE - Wellbeing Wednesday
The Pulse app provides fun and easy 60-second weekly check-ins to encourage our students to reflect on their mental, social and physical wellbeing. In tutor time, students will complete a ‘check in’. This will be on a Wednesday morning ‘Wellbeing Wednesday’. The students will answer a series of questions and will have the opportunity to reach out to a member of staff. Form tutors and our Pastoral team will then monitor and address any concerns that arise. Questions are answered anonymously, and students are signposted to resources where relevant.
